As usual, the "practical task" was one of the most popular elements of the evening, and the creativity displayed with left-over wallpaper, green crepe paper and old plastic fruit and vegetable nets was remarkable.
“…what a FANTASTIC EVENING!!
Those of us who managed to come - and alas 5 of our 9 could not make it, but one who had dropped out for a funeral down South, made it back in time to catch the 2nd half!!! YEEHAH!!! The other 4 who joined us ALSO had a "very late" arrival who joined us, so we WERE 9 by the very end, but we all agreed that although we came "last" we had enjoyed a LOVELY evening, and all would love to come again - which I think was the sentiment throughout the room! Two of us won raffle prizes too - I now have a 2019 diary so make sure any forthcoming events can be written in promptly!! Adrienne made a lovely job of a Christmas Tree - with a shortbread Christmas Fairy!!
So, Thank you SO MUCH to all who arranged, co-ordinated, etc etc the entire evening, and I hope that it was a successful fund-raiser.”
“…What a great evening! Thank you to all of you for organising it, our table had a great time. “
Our thanks to all who helped, in particular Gill James, who took the lead in organising the event, and Tricia Moxey who put together the quiz and asked the questions. Also, of course, thanks are due to those who attended and contributed so generously via the raffle, and to the cricket club for its hospitality.
