Although this is called the “Basic” Workshop it is so much more. It will take you from holding the camera properly (which hardly anyone does) to knowing what the knobs and buttons are for, how to use the white balance creatively, exposure compensation and a lot more. It all leads to a very simple way of taking great pictures without blinding you with science.
We also do simple window lit portraiture using reflectors, a technique which I use myself a great deal in my magazine work. It is very effective and easy.
Landscapes are also covered, this tends to be the most disappointing area for people but there are some easy techniques that I will show you to get you off to a good start.
There is much more, and it is all practical with only small groups of never more than five.
Those who have attended this workshop have ranged from complete novices to the more experienced photographers who return to photography for a “refresher”.
There is a break at lunchtime and we supply teas and coffees. Please feel free to bring a snack or sandwich.
