Wanstead Park Liaison Group

The first meeting of the new Wanstead Park Liaison Group was held on 6 November at The Temple, Wanstead Park. This will meet at least four times per year, bringing together City of London staff, community representatives and other stakeholders. Its remit is to improve communications between partners and coordinate a programme of smaller scale park improvements, volunteering and community events in the park. Strategic issues will continue to be dealt with by the Project Steering Group which began work some months ago.

Interim Wanstead Park Project Manager Peter Wilkinson said: "I thought we covered lots of ground for the first meeting and it also worked well having the immediate means to feedback to the Steering Group which met later the same day".
